Information you provide
When you send a game review request or inquiry, Ranko receives the information entered in that form. This can include an optional name for us to call you, contact details, game, project, prototype, video, document, portfolio, website, or profile links, studio, group, company, fund, or media organisation names, a selected vacancy for careers inquiries, the content of your message, and your privacy and age confirmations.
How it is used
We use submitted information to review your request, respond to you, assess possible work together, and keep an internal record of the conversation. We process this information where it is necessary to respond to your request, take steps towards working together, or support Ranko's legitimate interest in managing genuine business inquiries. We do not sell personal information.
Storage and access
Submissions are stored in Ranko's content system and a notification containing the submitted information is sent to restricted Ranko staff channels on Discord. Authorised team members can access this information when responding to or managing the submission. We periodically review stored submissions and delete them when they are no longer needed for the purpose submitted, legal obligations, or resolving disputes.
Game review submissions are treated as confidential. Ranko does not publish or reuse submitted concepts or materials without permission.
Service providers
Ranko uses service providers to run this website and handle submissions. These include Vercel for website hosting, Supabase for the database, Cloudflare for bot protection and media delivery, and Discord for staff notifications. These providers may process limited personal and technical information on Ranko's behalf to provide their services.
Technical information
Our hosting providers may process basic request information such as IP address, browser details, and server logs for security and reliability. Cloudflare Turnstile also checks form submissions for signs of automated abuse. The theme preference is stored in your browser and is not used to track you across websites.
Website analytics
Ranko uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand which pages are visited and how well the website performs. This can include the page visited, referring website, general location, device and browser information, and performance measurements. Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies. We do not send form contents or contact details as analytics events.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct or remove information you submitted, subject to any legal reason we need to keep it. Use the contact form and include enough context for us to identify the relevant submission.
If you are under 18 and are unsure about sharing information with us, ask a parent, guardian, or another trusted adult first.
